FAVORITE NYC PLAYGROUNDS

ALL listed are on the UWS (except one)- because thats where we spend 99% of our time. Love that all city parks have sprinklers and sandboxes! 

Central Park

West side: 

61-63st- Heckscher Playground

(The oldest AND largest playground in central park!)

67st- Adventure Playground 

81st- Diana Ross Playground 

(Across the Street from American Museum of Natural History)

91st- Safari playground 

93st- wild west playground - opened summer 2015. 

(Best for toddlers. It was Henry's favorite playground between ages 1-3.)

96 st- Rudin family playground

100 st- Tarr family playground

(Lots of green grass to picnic on around the playground)

East side: 

81st- Ancient Playground

(Next to the Metropolitan Museum of Art)

Riverside Park 
In addition to sandboxes and sprinklers, Riverside Park playgrounds have CLEAN BATHROOMS!!!! and SHADE!!! 

83st- River Run
(brand new sand!)

91st- Hippo
(has an indoor party room you can rent)

96st- Dinosaur
(entire playground is shaded!)
